Maja Bons won the Bavarian 'Pierrot' Film Award as Best Young Actress for her starring role as Jojo in Camilla Guttner's debut feature film Die Akademie / The Academy.

Shot entirely in Munich, with renowned DoP, Luca Bigazzi, cinematographer of the Oscar winning film 'The Great Beauty', the cast of Die Akademie also featured Jean-Marc Barr, Luise Aschenbrenner, Andreas Lust, Michael Brandner, Isolde Barth, Miguel Abrantes Ostrowski, Christoph Luser and Jan Beller.
